I'm very allergic and sadly Pepsi products use to be safe but in recent years it is very much not safe anymore. My love for mnt dew nearly killed me this past weekend! With the economy hurting so badly with all this ridiculous inflation crap companies are silently opting for cheaper ingredients, many of which contain wheat including but not limited to caramel flavor/ color, several artificial sweeteners ( maltodextrin, dextrin, etc), even some citric acids! And not all wheat ingredients are listed on labels as a warning.

Thank you! But can we also get ingredient substitutions for non-Top-9 allergies such as Nightshades??? Please? For instance, if a recipe calls for tomato... you can find ways to swap out the tomatoes and introduce the same type of acidity by using plums, alongside a combination of vinegars such as apple vinegar, rice vinegar, balsamic, etc. I love that you're finally addressing the basic allergens that we've all been subject to knowing (each for our own reasons) for decades. But we need more culinary options to help out those of us dining--or even working!--in more fine-dining types of establishments, where ingredient swapping is highly frowned upon. If we don't give fine-dining chefs some degree of oneupmanship, they will likely just ignore diners like us. With both Celiac disease and nightshade allergy, I can barely eat out at all. As a lifelong foodie, this has devastated my lifestyle and ability to travel.

Strangely about 5 years ago I started having gut issues, stomach bloating, diarrhea, nausea and then burning in my chest along with food wanting to come back up...seen my primary care and then a gastrointestinal doctor. Had blood work and a endoscopic procedure and was diagnosed with acid reflux, Gerd and IBS. Was prescribed a stomach relaxer, acid reflux medication. Also might I add I had developed aniexty during this time as well. Fast forward about 2 yrs later I started having these strange "episodes" that would come out of no where and last a few moments and disappear....Id suddenly feel dizzy and confused and Id have heart palpitations. So I thought it was perhaps my blood sugar bc diabetes runs in my family and thought it had something to do with that. Well then one day I woke up and both of my calves hurt, they both looked swollen and they both felt sore and heavy. This prompted me to see my primary care doctor....she sent me for bloodwork and then to a cardiologist bc of the edema in my legs and the heart palpitations. The cardiologist had me also do bloodwork...also commented my blood pressure was high...over 180 so got prescribed a blood pressure medication....also before this I did a stress test, a cardiogram, ekg test or whatever its called.. then I was taking the blood pressure medicine and it was dropping my blood pressure too low...so I refused to take it. Then I had my legs both tested for clots and checked out by a vascular doctor...he said I didnt have a vascular vien diesease but did say both my legs both looked to have non pitting edema. He suggested I see a rheumatologist. My heart has two mumurs, the cardiologist said were normal and she saw no reason for concern. Saw a rheumatologist...after some xrays of my hands and some more blood work he stated I didnt have a rheumatoid diesease but said I definitely have edema in my legs and suggested I might have a autoimmune diesease, he suggested I see a allergist bc he said that I know my own body if it doesnt feel good then to not give up bc it could be I have something thats difficult to pinpoint bc my variety of symptoms. Well during all of this I started getting this welts or whats called urtericia. And I would start itching all over, my scalp badly...then whenever I broke out in these welts theyd itch like crazy...and everytime after a shower Id itch so bad I felt like itching my skin off. Well I saw my gynecologist for a routine visit and I told her about everything that was going on and I felt at my wits end bc of all these symptoms and no one could give me any answer's, she told me to go see the allergist it wouldnt hurt to see what they say especially with the urtericia. So I saw a allergist and told him about all my symptoms and shown him the urtericia that plagued me...he immediately took a pen and used it to lightly write on my arm with the cap side....after awhile these red welts appeared where he had traced...said its dermatographia. He did a skin test and my skin reacted to alot of stuff..also bloodwork too....one of them being red meat. Then it made sense to me....once I ate a cheesesteak and my stomach bloated really badly and I had really bad diarrhea...then there was the time I had tacos for dinner with the same reaction...then all the other times where I felt horrible after eating certain things but especially red meat. Then I told him about how everytime after a shower my skin itches really bad....he asked me what bath soap I use and I said Aveeno...he said you have a food allergy to oats thats why. And food sensitivitys to 28 different foods and plants...also cats and dogs too. Im like ummm...how and why?? And he asked me have you ever been bit by a tick and I said yes at least 3 different times in the recent years...with one being about 5 years ago, it left a moutain or pimple like sore spot on my stomach and I recieved antibiotics for it. And he says first off you have a red meat allergy and its from the tick bite, its called alpha gal syndrome, then you have something called histamine intolerance....your DOA levels are low. So basically alpha gal, histamine intolerance, IBS, acid reflux, GERD....and he said its all tied together. So I went on a low histamine diet and ate no red meat as well....I lost 46 pounds in 4 months and yes I was on antihistamine medication along. I found with it I felt alot better, less itchy...and instead of breaking out in itchy hives when my skin reacted it was instead this red blotchy stuff that would appear. And if I forget to take the medicine my day really sucks without it. So my red meat allergy it was severe enough to cause me gastrointestinal distress and make my throat feel tight but Ive never had my throat close up from it no. The allergist told me Id be better off not continuing to eat redmeat just in case it continued to worsen.

Forgot to add that he believes my non pitting edema is from the histamine intolerance, histamine built up in my soft tissue, saying that's why my legs hurt too.

I don’t get hives or anything, but get some pretty unpleasant stomach pains that start 10-20 minutes after eating eggs that last a couple hours. However this has only started within the last month. I think I might’ve developed an allergy bc ever since I started my weight loss journey I’ve been eating a lot of eggs and egg whites for some easy protein. But I can’t do it anymore with these pains.

My daughter who is turning 4 in a few months and she is allergic to Cashews.I tried cashews on her last two weeks ago..I have her baked cashew cookie and till half an hour she was totally fine with clear skin.bit as soon as I have her 1/2 piece of raw Cashewnut to eat,she felt different and within 15 min she vomited 🤮 out..but she stayed all clear with skin. Next day she had a tiny piece of cashew-was all good. The very next day she wanted to eat cashew so I gave her and with the same hands she rubbed her eyes and started having tiny hives around eyes(did settle down within 10 minutes) I am concerned and confused about my daughter to eat cashews.. Vomiting is anaphylactic or mild syndromes of cashew allergy??? Please reply! Thank you !!

Thank you Heather because when I first developed anaphylaxis, in 2021, I didn't even see it coming, but I feared it might happen and asked for an EpiPen, though my doctor resisted, I insisted because I had widespread idiopathic urticaria, which I later found out it was caused by ectoparasites! For the longest time, I wasn't putting together all the symptoms as being anaphylaxis, so I did my research, and became very informed, no, thanks to my doctor, who is completely clueless, but I also watched Heather's video, and then I remember, as my blood pressure would rise, I would get the sense of impending doom, and my boyfriend kept saying why do you keep using that phrasing, and I realized that I did say that, when it got to the critical point, where I should've been taking my Epi, and we looked up this phrasing, and it turns out that it is now a medical standard that people repeat the same line, almost as though they are reading from a script, that they feel a sense of impending doom, and it's called the sign of impending doom, and there is no feeling like it because you are certain you are going to die! They say it's also the sign of impending shock, and that has happened as well! Anybody suffering like this, needs to do their research because most doctors are so ignorant about anaphylaxis, and even paramedics, if they didn't see welts, didn't believe that you had anaphylaxis, but often times, I took the epi- before they arrived, but there was no convincing some ignorant paramedics, and I didn't need to be debated on what I knew, had nearly killed me, three times! As my doctor warned me, each time you go into anaphylaxis, might be the last time you ever go into anaphylaxis! Never ever let a doctor minimize your symptoms or make you think you don't need an EpiPen! Insist that you have it, and if they refuse, tell them that if something bad were to happen, you were going to hold them personally responsible because you'd be surprised how many doctors don't want to give out epi-pens! It is ridiculous, and I even had a paramedic tell me, not to take the Epi, when my throat was closing up, my blood pressure was super high, and I was getting severe tremors, as my nervous system became more taxed, so I don't let anybody tell me how to treat my allergic reaction because though they think they know better, no one knows your body like you do! May God bless and watch over everyone in this perilous situation, and never debate yourself or second-guess yourself, just take the Epi! The first time I did it, I was sorry, I suffered for days, leading up to that point of complete anaphylaxis! Also, people don't realize anaphylaxis can be a progression of symptoms that might take days, hours, or minutes, so, even if you have to keep a journal, start becoming aware when you see the symptoms, and usually they always progressed to full-blown anaphylaxis, in my case, every time! In fact, I had biphasic anaphylaxis, which most doctors didn't even know, existed, and why I had that was because it was predicated on the lifecycle of these ectoparasites! Unfortunately, I'm still not parasite free and realize I've been plagued with them, for over 20 years, which is what started my anaphylaxis in, but we didn't realize, they were getting into the house, and it only took a few bites, but you'd be surprised that doctors had no idea what these anomalous skin lesions were, so I suffered persistently, for years with bites, and bumps, and horrific skin lesions That only after I became completely infested, and did my research, did I realize that I had severe scabies, and then, three other doctors, finally concurred! Unfortunately, everyone in my house became infested, had allergies, but thank God, not anaphylaxis, as I got attacked the worst, but years later, I realize that my father didn't really have Parkinson's disease, and I witnessed him going into shock, but he had been so overrun with parasites, that can get into the lungs, as that happened to me, and he succumbed to parasitic disease! Finding out that my house was infested and my dad and I knew that there was something here making us sick, but we never imagined it was this nightmare, or that it would nearly claim my life, but it tragically took his! I hope my story will spare someone else a tragedy and illness that I've suffered, but I also know, the parasites will give you severe pain cause multiple diseases, that will never be linked back to the parasites, and you will start bloating and gaining weight, from the inflammatory response, but if you see skin lesions or feel hard masses under your skin, start thinking, parasites! Also, I did notice them in my surroundings, but I dismiss them as dirt or crumbs, not realizing what they were, but then, when I went in the attic, and saw them everywhere, I still didn't know what they were, until I started noticing them in my skin! There needs to be more parasite awareness in this country, because it is a pervasive problem, and the western medical system is completely ill, prepared and ignorant to this problem that they think only happens in foreign countries, but the CDC says, otherwise, and now I know far too many people suffering with ectoparasites and internal parasites, so we have a silent epidemic on our hands, so re-search, and if you think you have them, stop at nothing to convince your doctor, because most of them don't believe that we have parasites in the United States, and they'd be really wrong! Mites are everywhere! They are also a mammalian disease, so they are contagious between humans and animals, and medical journals say that you can have them your entire life, and pass them back-and-forth between family members and pets, alike, without ever suspecting, what is the Cause! I hope I have spared many humans and animals of this nightmare, just by my cautionary tale! God bless everyone with good health, and the foresight to know when something is wrong, despite when doctor, all too often, may not!

Hello, I feel like instead of expecting children not to have certain foods around someone who is allergic/sensitive, we should teach kids that as long as the person is able to understand that they shouldn't consume any food or beverages they aren't sure about (or they should, at the very least, ask about it), and that person is able to be around said food or beverage without having an physical reaction, then it is actually more selfish of that person to expect that others not consume said food or beverages in front of them, than it is for others to consume the food or beverage around them. However, if the person is not able to understand that they shouldn't consume any food or beverages they aren't sure about, or at the very least, ask about it (such as a very young child, or a person with certain disabilities), or if even being around someone else who has the food or drink is enough to trigger the person's allergens/sensitivities, then of course it's more selfish for others to consume said food or drink in front of that person (that is, if they are aware that that person is allergic/sensitive), than it is for them to expect others not to consume the food or beverage around them. I'm actually an adult, and I'm sensitive to caffeine. My case isn't really an allergy, but the effects of caffeine are more intense for me than they are for most people. However, I am able to be around caffeinated beverages without feeling its effects. In my case, it is actually more selfish for me to expect others not to consume caffeinated beverages in front of me, than it is for others to consume it in front of me. If I were a very young child, or if even being around a caffeinated beverage was enough for me to feel its effects more intensely, then it would be a different story. If that were the case, then it would actually be more selfish for others to consume caffeinated beverages around me (that is, if they were aware that even being around a caffeinated beverage was enough to trigger my sensitivities), than it would be for me to expect that others not consume it in front of me.

You also precipitate alpha gal syndrome by putting too much tallow skin cream on large areas of your body. Without any tick bites.
